    1200 into a 94 750SL

I see everyone doing major engine mods to the 750's with engine/cylinder porting ect. Why hasn't anyone put a 1200 into their 750 haul? Would it really be that difficult?

Engine mounts are different, I think, between Fuji and domestic motors. Electrical system and exhaust differences.

The domestic engined SL hulls are already set up for the domestic motor, so a stock SL 900 (1996+) or SL 1050 is a much easier upgrade that retrofitting a 1200 domestic motor into an SL hull laid out for the Fuji engine.

In the late 90's there was a fiberglass 750 with a fully ported, triple factory race pipe built. The was extreamly quick but scary on top end. It would do around 70 but it would kill everything to that point.

Hell they put 700 twin Domestics in Pro785 hulls so it's all possible. I guess it comes down to what's cost effective.
Why go through the hassle of installing a Domestic 1200 into a Fuji boat when one is already available...with better ergo's and parts availability?
Just a couple more things to ponder.

    SLT 750

I have a SLT 750 with an engine that has retired. Rough ride but fairly quick for only 80 horse. I am in louisiana and can not find anyone to repair my ski so I was wondering if I could put a 4 stroke into it without too much complication or where I could find a engine at all that would work.

You could consider parting out the SLT, and putting the money towards something in running condition, maybe even a newer/faster Polaris model.

The hull on a SLT would be to small and narrow for any 4 stoke out there now.

Contact John Zigler for a good used engine. Then part out yours to recover some of the cost.
