    Opinions wanted- fuji crank...

Is 165#s compression too much for a fuji crank thats not welded? Is it too much for the bearings? Or the crank itself or both?
    Thanks for any feedback!

No,no,no, and no......The nature is of the crank is that force is applied equally and squarely on the power stroke, the only thing welding helps with would be rotational torque if a forceis applied outside of the engine......As in Loading and unloading the pump,or ingesting water in one cyl.

165 is fine for the life of your crank the more compression the shorter the crank life as it tends to start beating up the rod bearings with the higher compression .

Sorry, I was the guy that suggested that 165psi might be too much. I wasn't concerned about twisting the crank, just the load the wrist and rod bearings take.

What is a safe compression for a Fuji lower end to run?

150-160 is good and still can run pump gas

Thanks for the feedback and concerns guys!
I was thinking about possibly going back to an oem base gasket if others thought 165 was too much, but I'll leave it as is. Although, if I did, it would advance my port timing a lil more which wouldn't be a bad thing for more top end power. Hmmm?
