Thread: GPRXP VTS

Thanks to Hydrojunkie and GPRXP Steve I was able to get the SeaDoo VTS mounted.
I realize the Yamaha QSTS is more than adequeate but I liked the idea of using all the SD gauges and a little more bling on the bars.
I simply had to remove the battery strap connection @ the top of the pump tunnel then open the existing hole slightly. Everything slides ride in but the GPR hull is thinner so you have to make a spacer to get te VTS nut tight to the hull. I just used a 1 1/4 extension for a shop vac and cut it to just over an inch long.
I will add a o-ring on the back side of the spacer where it meets the transom/hull and over the VTS rod just in case. The existing seal on the nut is also reatained (against the spacer). I am still using the SD Support under the VTS will secure it with some small stainless wood screws since I have the thick fiberglass tunnel reinforcement.

Have any pics of the exhaust now? I guess the 1300 freeflow wont work now?

the blue free flow should still fit. it touched the angled part of the ski when it's installed. might have to be sandwiched between the vts and the hull, but it should fit. . .
