Need help winterizing 04 GTX SC

As bad as I hate to say it, its time to put the ski up for winter.
Can anyone tell me how to winterize an 04 GTX SC?

I know the fuel needs to be treated with a stabilizer and the antifreeze needs checked to make sure its ready for the cold weather.

I think the engine needs to be fogged but Im not sure and I have no idea how to do it.

What other things do I need to do?

The ski will be kept under a tarp out side or I mite rent an un heated storage shed for the winter.
Im here in SW Missouri so we will see some -0 degree days.

Or what should I expect to pay the dealer to winterize it?
    Thanks.

The first thing to do is to download a manual for your ski from this link:

    http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=63168

Then read the winterizing section. It will tell you to pull the plastic intake manifold and spray into the intakes of the head; some do some don't. But rusted valves, especially on the '04's, cause major damage when the heads break off. I'm not even sure if all dealers to this part.

Anyway, the winterizing section does not tell you to pull the pump and check for water. You should do that too. It will take about an hour the first time. You don't even need to pull the impeller, just pull the reverse bucket, pump, then take off the cone. If there is water in the grease, you will need to change the seals, pump grease and probably pump bearings. Good luck... Ron

I do have the manual down loaded but man I hate the way they lumped so many different models into one manual, sure gotta watch what your reading to make sure your even looking at the right ski.

I was thinking also that someone here mite give me some tips and tricks not found in the manual.

    How about:

    1. Add Stabil to gas.

    2. Flush the exhaust with fresh water: engine on, turn water on, flush engine, turn water off, stop engine.

    3. Change engine oil and filter.

    4. Remove spark plugs, fog cylinders. Don't drop straw into cylinder.

    5. Remove intake manifold and fog intake/exhaust valves.

    6. Remove pump & pump cone, Check for water.

    Hope this helps... Ron

    Thanks Ron
That does help but I have a few questions
What about the water in the exhaust, does it drain out on its own?
What about the intercooler same question as above.

When you turn the water off and blip the throttle, most of the water in the exhaust gets spit out.

Do you have an intercooler? When you said '04 GTX SC I thought 185-hp engine. If you do have an intercooler, you can use compressed air connected into the port that you used to flush the exhaust with, to force any water out of the intercooler... Ron
