    changing impeller

Can anyone give a how to on detatching the impeller from the impeller duct assembly and reassembly.
Do you need any special tools and can you reuse all parts e.g bearings and seals??
    Pics would be great.

I would also like to add to the excellent impros info this.

if the impellor does not break free after exerting normal force using cheater etc. it can be heated around the hub area with a propane torch and this will aid in it breaking free. Apply a little heat if it does not work apply a little more. Make sure you apply the heat evenly around. "Do not super heat it" Use caution once it breaks free wear gloves it will be hot.

I found this tip very useful I am not sure if I found it on this site or somewhere else but it works. I have rounded off the stock hex and also the cheap Skat-Trak tools. I have also had an experience where the key inside a solas has spun on me.

    Hope this helps

For the stock Yammy prop that is a bit "stuck" and possibly rounding the flats with an adjustable spanner ... I made a socket for it !!

Buy a quality impact socket, drill the square drive out (I used a porting tool) so it clearances the shaft ... weld a bar to it for grip and away you go !!

The six sided socket gripping on six sides virtually eliminates rounding the hex on the more "stuck" props ..

    Pics below ..
