    Difference between props

What is the difference performance wise between a 15-22 and a 15-20 and a 14-19 and 14-17 prop?

Im fairly new to this and need to upgrade.
Ive been told 15-22 would be good,But is it the best for the setup?
I do plan on a cold air kit also.

Your ideal prop depends on the power you can apply to it... the more power you produce the higher pitch you will need to pull your ideal RPM's. What RPM's are you running now?

So is a 15-22 higher than a 14-19? are we looking at both numbers being higher?
And when you say higher, are we talking numerically?

The reason I ask is in the automotive field numerically higher is considered lower.

I would think,my stock X ski with a bigger supercharger and air inlet pipe is making more power.

Correct... the higher the number the more pitch the prop has on the leading & trailing edge.

As far as automotive field... I assume your speaking of gearing ratio's?

So it would take more power to turn a 15-22 than a 15-20 if I am following you.

Which means Ill try a 15-22 if its too much ill try the 15-20

You got it! but if your RPM's are close with either prop... you can always tweak (bend) on the prop to get your ideal RPM's Plenty of info here on that subject... just look in the "how to section" good info there with pics

you got it right. but just as stated above you can tweak the prop to get rpms correct. I would go with the 15/22 per your setup as was designed for your ski. I think if you go with the 15/20 your going to have to add quite some pitch to get it right.
if you running stock nozzle diffinitely the 22.

This is true, but ONLY for props made by the same company, AND with the same number of blades. You cannot compare a Skat 15/22 3 blade to a Solas 15/22 4 blade, in fact you cannot compare pitch between a Solas 3 blade vs a Solas 4 blade ... they are totally different, behave totally different, and are measured different by the differerent impeller manufacturers.
