Jet Dynamics Grate
Looking to do some more testing this winter with the JD intake system for the drag ski.
Very strange indeed.
Cow tongue up front is for directing in water. Massively redesigned water flow system. Not sure if it will work or not. Never hurts to play.
That's an 800 grate and stock shoe next to it.

WOW....that looks crazy!...im in for this one....
....can we get a shot of the underside?...is the tounge convex?.....the wing angle looks steep too....judging by that pic it looks like it will help hook-up down low by processing more water...then at speed that tounge will ramp water away from the inlet to decrease flow.....very interesting!!

Also, Glen at Jet Dynamics is looking for folks to help him design a grate for the GPR. This is his original design and is made for maximum hookup. It is cast aluminum, but not out of that crap that R&D uses. My only complaint, is I see a twist on the cow tongue versus the shoe. I don't know how it will all line up, and we know how critical it is.

VERY nice....just what i was hoping to see!!!...im down for some R&D for him if he needs more help....i have been doing alot of thinking about that inlet transition....it seems like the answer to increase processing on holeshot and decrease it at speed.....maybe incorperate a Keel extension into the tounge as well..??..

Mark, it is good to see you trying this but to everyone else I wouldn't buy one just yet.
I'd suggest you see what Mark's experience is 1st. I think I remember the Texas gang trying this several years ago. If it had worked well we would have heard about it from them.

Correct. Fernando tried it, and didn't have any good results...
but we didn't do pressure testing back then. I'm curious to see what the numbers are, and at what speed.
Also, I'll be moving the rear shoe forward with some inserts and see what that does as well.
Plus this is going to be on a 162mm pump.
