    Will somwone help a dutch guy (europe)

    Hy my name is Rob de Waal i,m from Holland (europe) .
    And im looking for a new or jused stator for my polaris 1050 SL year 1997.
    It is not posibele to get any parts here in europe will someone from the states help me please?
    I,ll do the foto of my stator with this message.

    The Polaris Part Number Cross Reference web site shows your 1997 SL1050 using stator part number;
    4060128 STATOR ASM,(TRIPLE)
    Substituted by 4060175

    The same stator part 4060128 was used for 1996 and 1997 manufacture on the SLTX, SL900 and SL1050.

    Is there a part number on your stator?
    What tests did you use to determine the stator was bad?

    The original CDI part# 4060137 was updated to 4010447

    There is there is an 'update kit' for the pre-2000 engines, which is a newer design CDI+stator to correct some reliability issues with the older versions. If you buy the 'updated' stator part number, you may need to update the CDI to match.
    The original update kit for 900 & 1050 engines 1996-1998 was part # 2873091 - that may have been superseded by newer kit number 4060175.

    If you do not have the updated parts already, the best choice is to purchase the update kit.

    With the ignition update installed, you will use a newer Service Manual (2000 or later) if you ever need to diagnose the updated CDI ignition or stator coils.

    Used Polaris PWC parts can be sourced from John Zigler, and several others.

    If it were me, I'd certainly get the up-date kit.
    You are eons away from any dealers so if you get another bad part or a part that doesn't match what you have you could be paying more in shipping than that of the up-date kit.
    The kit WORKS.
    Mixing and matching is a risk that many have found doesn't work.
    I don't know about you but my labor is worth too much to repeat the work twice or evn three or four times.
    Get the kit and be done.

    how the frick a polaris got way over there is my guess
