    oil pump block off question

    thinking about switching to pre mix for my 93 XP 650. Can I just plug the oil lines and dissconnect the cable or will this cause problems?

    you can plug off the lines and remove the cable,,,

    However on a rotary valve motor you MUST leave the 2 lines that go from the oil tank to the bottom of the motor and leave the oil tank atleast 1/2 full to lubricate the rotary valve.

    everything at the pump can be removed,

    or buy a block off kit,, but the carb manifold will have to R & R to remove the pump gear on the back side,,
