M16 or vf3
have just pulled reeds from my 04gpr to find them in need of some tlc.
reeds have burnt edges and have delaminated,
also the manifold looks like it has been butchered with a hacksaw.do you guys think the manifold is still useable or scrap.
i also have a good set of vf3,s is there any mods i need to do before fitting them?

Offshore replacement petals for the M-16's are an upgrade although I hear longevity is still an issue(Racers used to report 10hrs. of racing per replacing stock M-16 petals).I've always thought a reed spacer plate would help with the syndrome and increase life expectancy on the M-16's,although I'm a believer of spacer plates on any reed set-up for the Gpr.The V-3's are the best, tried and true and should drop right in.I'll check and see I might have a spare manifold laying around.I would clean up the manifold and put the V-3's on my #1 ski,and the m-16's with offshore petals on my #2 ski, with spacer plates on both.Good to hear from you Alec, talk soon
