Exclamation Having a lot of trouble installing my gibson exhaust HELP!!

So.. the install on my Gibson exhaust has begun.
I did not get any type of instructions with the Gibson and didnt bother to do a search because I assumed it was just a matter of two couplers, out with the old and drop in the new and everything bolts right up...
    Looks like I was wrong.

As you can see from the below picture, the new exhaust is NOTHING like the stock one.. My main issue is that I cant see how this will attach to my stock J-pipe.

I also have absolutely NO idea what this connects to.

how is that end of the j-pipe connected to the upward pipe? the inlet/outlet appear to be different sizes... Does it need to be cut?

I really thought this thing was going to bolt right up.. so I did no research on it prior to pulling it apart. Foolish, apparently..

not 100% sure but I think you have to cut a big section off of the bottom of the j-pipe. Leaving about 2-3"? Just enough for the coupler I believe.

So the tube coming off the top of the arc on the J-pipe is T'd off to that second spout? What purpose does that serve?

ok, now its starting to make sense...

One thing that makes me ueasy about this.. is that there is no going back now. My J-pipe will be ruined and there will be a hole in my hull. Going back to stock in the event that I ever sell this boat is not likely...
    thats disappointing.

The exhaust didnt come with any of that stuff.

What size is the T valve I need? Anyone know?

The couplings should be 2.5" at the thru-hull tip and probably a little bigger at the up-pipe/J-pipe.. Ill have to measure. It looks like it will have to be tapered on the J pipe end...

yes, these are the struggles most of us have gone thru when modding our skis. if you change your mind about the thru hull and installing the gibson I'll give ya $300 for it.
