THAT WAS A JOKE. I JUST FABRICATED A ROLLAWAY CART, ATTATCHED 3 FLOURESCENT LIGHT FIXTURES, AND A SURGE PROTECTOR AND VIOLA. A COUPLE HUNDRED WATTS OF PORTABLE LIGHT

On the rebuilds, how do the fwd trannys compare to the older styles as far as complexity or tool requirements, or whatever?

MARK, I DO 99 PERCENT OF THE REBUILDS AT THE SHOP. J-ME DOES ALL THE STANDARD AND DIFFERENTIAL OVERHAULS,FOR SOME REASON I SUCK AT THAT PART OF THE JOB. THE NEWER TRANSMISSIONS, FRONT WHEEL DRIVE OR OTHERWISE ARE MUCH MORE INVOLVED THAN EVER. MY BOSS DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE ANYMORE ON HOW TO REBUILD ONE NOWADAYS. BUT FOT THE MOST PART, I VERY RARELY IF EVER NEED TO BUY A NEW TOOL BECAUSE OF CHANGES IN THE UNITS. MAYBE ONE HERE OR THERE BUT J-ME ON THE OTHER HAND, BUYS TOOLS LIKE A CRAZED LUNATIC. HE GOT OVER A HUNDRED GRAND IN HIS BOX I BET, OR CLOSE. AND THATS NOT INCLUDING THE 50 GRAND IN CASH HE STOLE FROM ME.
I WOULD PUT J-ME AGAINST ANY TECH, ANYWHERE, AND HE WOULD HOLD HIS OWN

Okay, so what I got out of that is YES they are more complicated these days, but you really don't need very many more tools. Just ability and/or training.
