    Help with rpm's

I recently added a free flow exhaust & a riva 'race' flame arrestor to my ski (the big one) everytime I go out when i first launch the ski I can only get it to rev to 6,000 it sounds like it's hitting the limiter but it isn't it just doesn't go to the full 7,000-7,100. after 30 minutes or so it will run normally to the full rpm's but this is the second time out this has happened what can it be??

No, I can't see exact rpm's but I can clearly see it stays at 6000 then after 30-40 minutes runs normally above 7000.

I know this sounds too simple, but have you changed the spark plugs lately ?

If the spark plug has cracked none of the pieces wouldn't have dropped down into the cylinders would it?

It is not all that uncommon to get a bad spark plug right out of the box... and when I say crack, the top ceramic can crack on installation

I had a bad plug drive me crazy once with running problems till I found it
