    WTB: Hardened Drive Shaft

    Looking for a hardened drive shaft with crowned splines on both ends...used for racing with the solid steel drive coupler...length 24 3/8" long. Must be new or in perfect condition...please send PM. Thanks!

    i got a ext shaft you can experiment with case harding the ends ,

    Thanks but I don't have an oven that reaches the temperature needed...and you don't want to just do the ends. Not to mention the splines need to be crowned/curved...oval looking...and you can't turn the straight splines into what's needed.

    Correct...the splines need to be curved/oval shaped...not straight like the pic. The drive shaft I'm looking for is rare as only handfuls were made for the 24 3/8" long drive shaft. I do now have some leads and may have found one. Would like to have at least 2 so I have a back-up.

    A bit off topic, but has anyone thought about deep freezing (Cryo-whatever it's called) the shafts for added strength?
