Are the ultra lx 150 or 250 reliable???

I am looking at buying a lx 150 can you tell me if you own one would you buy another one? Has it been reliable? Or has it been a wast of money? Any info on the lx 150 fuel economy would be good.

I am looking at doing long distance rides not so interested in speed.

Excellent for distance trips and good fuel economy cruising. WOT will hurt your feelings on fuel consumption. A great ride on either one {LX or 250X} with 250X being the biggest thrill. Maintenance is more detailed on 250 vs. LX. I run 2 stroke Yammi by preference because I trick and run top end speeds more than just cruise around. But LOVE the performance, ride, and weight/feel of a STX-15F. But thats my ass on the seat...

If you are looking for a good cruising machine, I dont think there is a bigger bang for the buck than a STX 15f, @ 85-95 miles to a tank, box stock speds of @ 61-62 mph. with 65-66 mph easily atainable for @ $600.00.............

45-50 mph to 120-140 mi or more depending on your weight. Fuel consumption not bad at 50. And your "cool pop" won't foam over...

The LX rides more solid and cuts more through the waves. The 15F has more of a flat bottom hull so it will be more on top of the waves rather than through them. Thus the LX ride will be smoother so your "cool pop" or carbonated beverage wont shake and foam up.

I do not condone or recommend consuming alcohol and operating any type of motorized vehicle while doing so nor am i admitting guilt of doing so! heh heh...
