    catch can

I installed one in june, went riding all season maybe a total of 8 times, yet i have never seen any blow by oil in the can itself. Checked the set up today when I was changing the oil and it is identical to the set up in the Riva .pdf guide. I was just wondering how often are others filling/emptying their catch cans

I see oil in it from time to time but very small amounts. Have never emptied it. I do have small amounts of oil below it in the hull I have to wipe up once in a while.

I empty about 1/4 cup after every tankful of gas.
Catching any blow by is better than running it down your intake.
You do not have enough mods yet to see much blow by. Wait until you get a new sc wheel and a 4" intake...then you will have some blow by.

I installed a catch can when I did the Riva Intake which is the only real mod to my RXT. I empty mine after a weekend of riding and have just enough to catch it in a paper towel.
It's mainly water with a bit of gas and oil smell, but a very small amount.

I have 30+ hrs on mine and have never had to empty it. there is maybe 1/4 in of oil in the bottom of my riva can. I would say this is a good thing. These guys needing to drain them after every ride or 2 are either adding too much oil, have worn rings, or maybe like mentioned above that the higher rpms are causing it. I have also heard that the higher the boost the more blowby you will see but I have not seen that.
