    supercharger bolts

I am in the process of removing the SC. The front two bolts came out fine when it was time to take the back one off i found that the previous owner had attempted to get it off and the head of it is completely round. has anyone had this happen? Any ideas on how i should try and get it off?

YOu can try a small pair of vice grips, if that does not work cut the head of bolt stright off and you can pull sc off then remove bolt out of sc with pliers or v grips.

I always keep extra bolts on hand. I always tighten up the top bolt first going on and last coming off. That way you can move sc arround to get any tension off bolt you will find you can do most of the tightening or loosing with fingers.

DKM... unfortunately, it may be time for the Dremel.

I've had to do this twice. Grind down the head of the bolt trying not to eat into the SC housing. Slip the charger forward and out. Use a Vise-Grip to remove the remainder of the bolt. When reinstalling the SC, you might consider replacing that bolt with a hex head metric equivalent.

They have been known to break at the fillet of the stem and face. Are you going to be running an after-market ECU? If not, I'm not so sure I would worry about it unless you are removing the head for some other reason.
