Delrin Wear Ring? What do you think?

I need a new wear ring. I have a 2001 SeaDoo GTX DI.

I'm trying to decide between an OEM ring or a Delrin one from SBT.

    Check it out:

I'm not looking for extra performance and I just need a good product get me going again. The SBT people state that these are better than the the OEM wear ring.

Has anyone ever tried the Delrin wear ring or have an opinions about how good these might be?

Also, are these easier or harder to install on the jet pump?

they would/may be an improvement for the older ski's but I'm thinking the new OEM 4-tec wear rings are harder material than any Delrin that I've had my hands on.
271000653 is the part number for the wear ring on your ski and they are garbage, way too soft and will delaminate. 271000904 is the part number for 1998 models w/951 and will out last the other OEM 4:1 if you can still get them.

Yes I hear you on original wear ring, mine is all tore up. I think I'll give the delrin version a try.

Anyone else have any opinions on the delrin wear rings?

One made out of Vespel would be sweet.
