Thread: Carb question

I have a '94 slt. No mods but I do have K&N filters. I have always had trouble tuning carbs since. Do I need a different hi jet do to less restrictive airflow? Thanks to all in advance. Rod.

I've read different opinions about the Vortex F/A's, which are like the K&N. Some came with larger main jets, and Ken the owner of OP said you only needed to open the high speed screw about 1/2 turn out.
My suggestion is to keep an eye on piston wash and tune with a tachometer for max RPM. A properly tuned engine will run better than one running lean or rich.

1/2 turn aye aye!
Thanx guys. Will keep working on it. Got all winter. Also got a LC ride plate, a Aquavain intake, and some new Hydro turf to do this winter. WOO HOO
