    Supercharger failure.....

Looking at an 06 RXP that appears to have a bad clutch on the blower.

I started it up, and gave it throttle while squeezing the hose from the charger to the throttle body, from the advice of a seadoo tec I know.

I did not feel any pressure. From what I am told this means the clutch is shot.

Did some searching around on the board after talking with Solie and co. and found you either pull the charger and all parts are there, or you pull the charger and parts ( washers ) are missing.

Is there ANY way to know without pulling the charger if it will be an intact, failed clutch set up vs. a take the motor out because the washers shattered??

If you don't have a boost gauge you can pull off your air intake at the S/C reach in with your finger & try & spin the S/C impeller. If you can spin it with your finger then you need to replace your washers at a minimum. You are going to have to pull your charger no matter what. Do you have ceramic or metal washers?

Pull the air intake hose and try to spin the SC wheel with your finger... if it spins freely I would recommend pulling the SC. If the ceramic washers are gone... you will be pulling the rear cover & front oil pump Not fun... or cheap

Just pull the charger. If you cant feel the hose expand when you rev it there is a problem with the sc. When the charger is working you can see it expand the plastic intake.

Take the 2 hour drive up to Dans and drop it off.

It will take some of the heat off of me with all my stuff in the yard. LOL

Well I know there is a problem with the charger. The questions is is the clutch bad, or did the washers explode?

It is a stock 2006 RXP so I'm not sure what washers are / were in it. All I know is the charger is not kicking out pressure.

#1, DO NOT START IT AGAIN!

#2, ceremics came with it, only 08+ have OEM metals...

#3, Even if it was bad, or slipping, or anything...the SC needs to come out and replace the clutches...

Yes. If the washers are gone, it's oil pump pull at a minimum.
