Is the engine bay filling up with water or is it just salt residue? The residue you will have to deal with and clean off after each use.

no its only on the front of the engine, im pretty sure its coming from the breather holes in the bottom of the seat, there is about twenty small holes at the bottom, are they needed !

Hey mate, welcome to the forum. This is a problem with all the x boats and its a pain in the ass... You are correct with saying the salt water is coming from the holes under the seat.. I have not done this yet, but plugging the holes under the seat with silastic will stop water spraying all over your motor.. If you do this make sure u take the seat off and sit it upright so the water can drain out after you ride.. Also get a product like Inox, etc to coat ur motor in before you ride, this will help to prevent salt from sticking to your motor..
    Hope this helps!!

The only fix is a seat cover, the stiching on the orignal seat leaks like the 07 seat.
Blocking the holes is not a good idea, as the seat will be filled with water and very heavy. Also if you run a front pro filter it will ingest water into the engine.

How about sealing the stitching with something like 303 High Tech Fabric Guard?... Ron
