    WTB: 701/760 Reed spacers...

Just as the title says. Reed spacers for the 701/760 motor. Preferably used, and cheap!

buy some reeds and cages from a gp1200 (used is a cheap upgrade)... these will then get you a little more depth and give you unshrouded assemblys compaired to using the gp760 units.

The spacer will give you a little more runner length,so the 1200's added reed depth into the port, will put em back in a 'sweet spot'...

that's a better choice I have both 700 aka 1100 and 1200 reed cages and honestly the physical difference is so minuscule I didn't even notice the difference until someone mentioned it last year , not sure what gain would be had? but it must have been something for Yamaha to make the Change ??

the gp760 stock o/e are definatly shorter than the longer 1200's.If I remember correctly, when the vf3 mod came out for the gpr, it was fercho that mentioned that back in the day, he had built a few twin cylinders and gp1200 will work better than the shorter 760s when the spacer was used (better responce on bottom end,IfIRC?) ...

I only mentiond using them(1200), if you didnt go with the vf3's like we discussed a few months back...
