Pictures of my '97 SPX I picked up.
I decided to pick something up a little nicer this time around.. I've had it for about two months now, great solid ski with about 90 hours on it. It's a little wet from morning dew in the pics..
All it really needs to be "perfect" cosmetically is a nicer seat, heat gun trick on the hood, and turf. I don't have any motor shots right now but it's clean as clean can be
I've thrown a tiny tach on it b/w the two gauges on the hood, and a set of Vilder arrestors I had off my XP800 along with the proper jetting.
I'm getting 6870 RPM out of her so far in cooler water we're getting in Florida now.
I'm up in the air w/ the graphics... I kinda like the sleeper/stock effect. I'll probably remove them though and stick with the yellow/white/black scheme.
List of things to do: turf, worx grate, Solas XO w/ 85/88 nozzles.
Eventually a pipe and a head.

we need to heat gun your hood. the ski will look pretty much perfect after that. i will bring it by friday after work. i am almost done with removing my graphics. still need it to finish that up. looking at the picture of your 95 xp800 in your sig, its amazing what the black hood, seat and seat cover do for it. and i love my custom seat belt seat strap lol. i need to post a picture of that.
i cant wait to get mine running...shooting for a test ride by the end of the weekend. we will see.

Here's an engine shot. Head bolts have never even been turned.
One thing I need to do is get rid of the Tempo line on the return side. Whoever did the lines didn't do the return for some reason. I'll check out the fuel switch whenever I do it too.

Hi I have a 1997 aswell but in Austalia looks like we had a different hood colour.
Got a new liner, carbon seal, foam seal and great stock prop but still cavitates off the bottom. Any ideas? Should I reseal the pump shoe to hull?
