    Not a GTX but it is a 800 Rotax with turbos

    I was thinking about this the other day. The piston doesn't force the air out of the cylinder like a 4 stroke. So what would drive the turbo?

    my guess is PTO driven but what is the other pipe off the front of the S/C for?

    If that were the case it would function 2 fold. It would create a vacuum on the exhaust side and boost on the intake side. Much like a supercharger minus the vacuum.

    I would wonder how the two-stroke would scavenge properly with the added backpressure caused by the turbo? Also what happens when the turbo gets clogged with carbon? You clean it like gummed up RAVES?

    I would think a belt-driven SC would be the way to go on a two-stroke.

    They have used turbo's on 2-stroke snowmobiles in the mountains for years. Some even add Nitrous for a passing gear feel.
