first test run of my xl1200 rebuild

My first rebuild of a xl1200 pv motor, my xl1200 rod bearing came apart (not much left of the old motor) late this summer so my challenge was to to rebuild her, I went with used matched cases off of ebay, a new hot rods crank, reconditioned 1300 pv cylinders with new pistons, went with a R&D 45cc heads, new plastic wear ring, 13-19 solas, jetted the carbs. and went with premix. cranked right up ran about 12gal. gas easy though her today, runs awesome, motor jumps right up to 7000rpm fast and its alot smoother and faster then the old 1200, very happy with her and got all my information on this forum,

Nothing like the satisfaction of building your own!! SBT customers will never feel that rush! , fear, and exhilaration of running a "from scratch" motor!! congrats !
