1300 waterbox and free flow on 1200

just brain storming here but would`nt the water box from a 1300r be a little less restrictive than the original 1200 water box?
i read a post where riva crew stated that the 1300r waterbox with free flow is much quieter than the 1200r with free flow .anyone got a clue/
if this is true people who have ff exhaust and dont like the noise may could just put a 1300r waterbox in there bb 1200`s and maybe quieten it down a bit.

Could be, but they are not readily available, and the new price is EXPENSIVE.

I'm interested in if the rubber free flow for the 1300 will work on the 1200 with the stock 1200 waterbox?

    The answer is yes
I haven't installed it yet, laying on the ground beside my 1200's with the tin tube in my factory elbows they look identical

You might want to double check, im pretty sure the OD of the outlet of the 1300 box is smaller than the 1200 box.

i read the same thing on the riva forum,,,riva crew said they are not interchangable,,there 2 different sizes,,,thats why you need the 1300 water box to make it work.

I had to go try fitting it, here is what I found the tube is about the same size as the swelled rib that keeps it from slideing off just a little bit smaller.
So yes it is a little big but I don't see why it won't seal up if your clamp is tight? this picture is on my 01 1200 water box
Maybe I am to much of a Redneck

If you look at the original parts finder on the Riva site, it shows the same exact hose going to the waterbox on the 1200 and the 1300. If Yamaha uses the same hose, how can there be a problem???
