    It's Wabbit Season

Does anyone have any good tips on getting rid of rabbits? Those little bastards are chewing up everything in my flower bed. We have spent a ton of money on plants, shrubs and flowers and these MFers are literally eating them to the ground. And during Christmas season, they chew through wires on my sidewalk light strings. We have tried everything sold at Lowes, Home Depot and nurseries that claim to repel rabbits. None of them work. I don't want to kill them if at all possible, but at this point, my pellet gun may have to pay for itself.

Ive tried the no kill deal and it seems that more and more keep showing up plus you have to move them 10+ miles so that you dont see the same ones twice...so I use this

I don't know about Rabbits. But i know that plastic snakes works wonders in keeping birds away (which might be helping your rabbits eat the plants) and you can get them for a dollar each my mom has them all over her flower bed in the summer she said it works really well. I cant imagine rabbits be to comfortable around snakes either so they might work for them too.

I know this is going to sound stupid and all, but I have always been told that you could put some human hair down. Mix it in the soil. Rabbits can smell the sent of a human and don't go near. At least thats what I have been told. Good luck on getting rid of the rabbits.

LOL. You don't know me, but anyone who does will laugh at this suggestion. Let's just say I don't have enough ammunition to make this work.

But if human scent repels them, I'll go get me a twelve pack after work and lay down a heapin helpin of human scent tonight.

I don't know if the hair thing works either...however

Hair salon/barber shop would have all the ammo you could ever want...

Or I can just take a shear to the wife's head while she's asleep. "No honey, I don't know how your hair ended up in the flower bed."
