Those that are using a Block Guard?

Has anyone ever had a head gasket failure happen after running one of these?

I'm in the middle of pulling the cylinder head on my RXP because of the coolant-blowing-out-of-the-overflow-at-WOT-phenomena, and was wondering if the Block Guard would help prevent the chance for future gasket failure?

out of curiosity did you install the black guard eye-balled flush with the deck of the block?

or did you recess it consistently all the way around a little bit into the cases?

Diggs, When I pull the head off, I will be sure to check if it’s flat!

Shibby, I'm not running a block Guard. Sorry if I wasn't clear... I was asking if anyone running one ever had a head gasket fail.

Since I'm pulling the head, I was thinking about adding one if it was a worthwhile mod.

I will be pulling my head soon as well and was also wondering what the real-world experience is with a block guard.

I have blown a head gasket with a block guard but i was running 24-25 psi of boost

I have never blown a head gasket with a Rude charger and block guard in place.

I also like the stock stretch bolts and stock head gaskets.... just my choice

Jerry, do you torque the stretch bolts per BuRP specs? I heard that there are other torquing sequences that also work well, but no specifics ...
