It was pretty wild. The mountains got snow as low as 2000 ft (yea, pretty high for Florida) but not that high, when you consider some of our local lakes are around 1800ft to 2000ft. I was getting off work Sun morning, and was able to snap off some pics of the Superstition Mountains near Apache Junction, and of the McDowell Mountains, near Fountain Hills...where that traitor Joe will be picking up his SheDoo.
Folks were driving around Police roadblocks to go play in the snow. Apparently it's illegal to play in the snow in Arizona. If I would have had more time, on my hands, I'd have driven behind one of the local lakes and taken a back way past the PoPo and gotten some great shots. Something rather wierd about a snow covered Cactus, but it just didn't work out. I had to be at work Sun Night, so getting home before noon was a priority to get a few hours sleep.
I think Four Peaks still has some snow caps. I'm tempted to head to the lake this morning and get a few shots of it over the lake.
