hello txgp1300r, You said the ski felt faster but the gps does not show it. When i have tested my skeggless plates on other skis when the dreamo reads about 80 mph the ski does about 70mph gps on average you might have a bad gps. Do you have another gps you can try. Because a stock ski runs faster than 63 mph. And with all the mods you have and the heads you should be in the low 70's . What rpm's are you turning that 14/20 solas

txgp, have you tried tieing your power valves open and doing a full throttle run to see what your rpms are? Once you have done that you can try it with the valves reconnected to verify that they are opening all the way. Something isnt right . You should be atleast in the high 60 or low 70.

It ain't the plate...and your GPR potential is going to be faster than an RXP.

You've got some inspection to do, if you need any help call one of the Texas gang (read Fernando) and get a checklist to go over.

Throw some new batteries in the gps and try again.
I have not heard of a speed loss with this plate.

Did you put it on yourself.
Its not hanging down is it.

Thanks very much for the responce...I tested gps in my new magnum hemi ,gps was exactly the same as speedo on car..same on my truck..so ill assume the gps is correct...plate does not stick down at all it fits perfect.up real tight ( i did grind the pump per jims instructions)..the pump shoe sticks down in back 3/8 inch and is flush in front..the exhaust valve's move but i have not verified full opening..one thing i found and i hope this is it...the temp sensor for computer that is installed in black bung fitting..i had it on h2o line from head..i have just now moved it to the big water hose from top rear of exhaust.....boat hits hard down low and i can hear the prop cavitating a little( our ultra does this a lot) launch is great..pulls hard but top speed is not there...maybe i need to loosen jet works to allow more water down low???? how do you tie up the exhaust valves..im ready to try anything....thanks gang
