I don't think so. I think the in tank fuel filter does a great job. Never heard of one clogging up either.

IS the fuel filter a maintenance item that needs replaced after a certain numbers of hours of run time?

in my opinion yes.. take a look on maintenance manual or ask a dealer for how many hours should we change... iīve an rrfp on my ski and i put an fuel filter just in case the tank fuel filters damage, iīm safe..i think in a long time of running maybe the injectors get dirty

yup, I had a injector crap out and my guess is that it was due to crud coming thru the fuel line

inside the fuel module thereīs a fuel filter connected to the fuel pump, this one is very important to be in good conditions otherwise could damage the pump... and if you change the oem fuel regulator for an aftermarket RRFPR also the injectors may cause trobleshooting

The injectors also have a filter so I don't think a extra filter would have stop your injector problem.

There are 2 filters in the tank to clean the fuel before the pump.I'm with Jerry on this one and do not run a extra filter.
