    Project SL 1050

ok guys...as you all remember how i did up the 'cane and now i'm going to get started early this year on the 1050...that way i wont be trying to dial everything in with last minute details. basically everything that was done to the hurricane will be done with the 1050, from total strip down to engine work and yes even paint. have a couple items already laying around the shop and have been lacking in starting a thread on here because i forget to bring my camera back inside at night so far a couple things laying around is a umi steering system (thanks lugs!!), the updated fuel assembly unit, new stator and impeller (which will probably change when i get the engine done) and a few other small odds and ends. im sure redline and i will be on here often looking for parts and all that good stuff so i will keep you all posted!

actually we finished up a couple of weeks ago in the fields...now we are just busy leveling off bins and cleaning everything and putting stuff away. the shop door is always open for a couple of cold ones thats for sure. redline and i were out there the other night and got a couple more things done with the sl. think im going to send off the engine in a week or so to richie for some goodies...or maybe a upgrade??? go big or go home i guess took the electrical box apart and noticed that the cdi have a nice size crack in it and i have no idea how it happened...oh well need to get the update kit anyways.

sorry guys....haven't been on here in awhile! the hull is completely stripped and just needs a good cleaning off of the decals. anyone know anything about those decal removale wheels?? my buddy said they work good but i've never used one. shot randy a couple of emails and i think we are going to upgrade it to a 1200 i might just have to do what i did with the cane and still put 1050 on the side anyways...i'll keep you guys updated and throw some pics on here when i take some new ones!

The factory decals should come off easily w/ a heat gun and a bondo spreader. What paint scheme do you have in mind?

HAHAHAHA! i don't even think my dad would like that considering we are all red! i'm almost thinking gray and black....still kinda thinking about how i'm gonna do that. the stock decals will come off pretty good using a heat gun but i just didn't know about those decal wheels. i almost hate tearing off the new hydro turf mats i just put down last summer but if they gotta go then they gotta go
