    Oil pump adjustment

Question about adjusting the oil pump so it is at stock setting. The manual says to first adjust the throttle cable to specs then the gap in the oil lever to 0 - 0.5mm. Does anyone have any pics on exactly where the marks are on the pump and where the lever should go. It's just for someone like me who's new to this the Yamaha manual is a little vague. It's not something I want to get wrong!

I understand what you wan't to do, but you should really consider going to premix.

Tim understand this logic but by the time I order and get the plate, do the work etc it's our summer over here soon and I cant really ride it how it is now so just want to set the pump to stock flow so I can ride

anyway...... I do believe there are little timing marks on the pump itself, right near were the cable hooks up on the bracket. They are near impossible to see with the pump installed on the front of the motor. U might be able to use a mirror? Mabe you can install the cable on the pump before you bolt the pump on the motor?

    Thumbs up Linning up...

    Hey,
I managed to line mine up with the help of my with holding a mag light and a telescoping mirror. It was not easy and the wife did not like working on the ski. But it can be done and you will see to spots that need to line up. one on the wheel and one on the pump. Good luck it is a pain in the a!!....I would just go pre-mix...I have not yet but will be by next summer...
