I notice that the bottom of the waverrunner I got a couple of months ago looks like it was beach couple of times or something not for sure though. anyways I just wanted to know if it really need to fix up or it be fine the way it is.
Also I notice on the side of the waverruner it has some cracks in the gelcoat well I think becuase it sold as a rock (no give). What are some ways I can fix this

Looks like a '99 GP 1200...the upper gel cracks, you might to consult a professional fiberglass guy locally. See what he charges to get it right...the paint is hard to match, especially after time. The bottom does'nt look too, too bad it is rough looking though, that is normal and does'nt hurt your performance too bad.
But, you get a good filler (do a search on hull trueing here) to fill the scratches, sand it flat then paint to match. Again you might have to re-paint the whole bottom hull if you want it to "look" great...I don't care about looks as much as performace/repaired.

close it a 99 gp800. It was going to cost about 1500+ to fix the fiberglass. Thats why I want to tackle it.

I think you can manage the bottom of the boat with some patiences, but make sure you take off that stock grate and seal up the pump area.
Welcome to the forums and good luck..Their is a wealth of knowledge on here I have learned from some of the best guys on this forum. Remember the search button is your friend.

Thanks for the info. I have to take a picture of my other project later today. My Grandma is helping with the fiberglass work. I just didn't know how to tackle the side and bottom. I read that Marine-Tex will do the trick to the bottom.
