    Thats pretty cool. Its sad it can only make mid 600 hp max.....

    have you already counted the components in it that come from Thailand?

    it only displaces 248 cubic inches..... the 4.3V6 displaced 262 and made considerably less than 600hp

    I wonder what the torque levels are like, with 16 pots popping youd think it would be very strong.

    I was talking about the whole vehicle.

    economics define where componentry is sourced, try taking the interior light cover off, see where relays are made, radiator shrouds, seat brackets, wiper motors, everyone does it, nothing wrong with it, just the way it is. And I'm not knocking the vette, its an icon and I would love to have on in the garage
    We have the HSV Grange here, supposedly hand built yada yada yada.... alot of the bloody car comes from Thailand.
    $100,000 just doesnt get you local hand built quality anymore.

    Oh well yes, I agree about other components, actually I guess that's why I feel like replacing the heart of the car seems sacrilegious... it's the engine for heaven's sake!
