How much can I bend an SRX Concord?

Can I bend (or have bent) a SRX-CD-15/20 into a 15/22 for my P-X or is that too much added pitch?

...and to see if I've got this right, a 15/22 is basically a 15/20 +4mm? I think I remember it being discussed that each whole number pitch up or down is 2mm.

Not sure how mm's to degrees relate. I know I tried to pitch a prop using a caliper and it seems to be impossible to be accurate without a prop gauge. I have had a 15/20 pitched to a 14/25 then back to a 14/22 without problems.

In my experience, it's been closer to 4 mm = 4 deg, but it all depends on how you measure the angle and where you bend it.

    So a 1mm = 1 degree.

Cool guys.. thanks for all the answers. I wasn't sure how far you could go without effecting the blade in relation to the hub.

I have seen 15/22,s bent on a real prop machine to 13/20.5 so i dont think it is an issue. Now how effiecent is the prop at bending past 4 mm, I can not say but I think the prop would get really ineffiecent with a real radical bend, unless all blades where spot on.

I should have a prop gauge this week and will start taking note to what our props really measure out to be.

    For instance I had a 15/22 checked with gauge and was 14.1, 14.2, 14.8, 15/ 21.5, 21.2, 21.8, 22.1

I ran a R and D pro pitch prop this weekend in my T-X. It shows it started life as a solas 15/21. I will say even tho i was on the limiter that is the best hookup, bite, acceleration, handling that my T-X has ever been. I am sure it is because all 4 blades are identical. I will find out when get gauge.

I think we are leaving alot of speed on the table when it comes to effecientcy of props.

Ya, I find that kind of weird that the "R" prop is supposed to be dialed..... Why not just buy from Skat or Impros (both have been great to me )where they'll true them up before they go out the door?
