    r+d grate no cavitation???

just off the phone to a guy over here and asked his thoughts on the worx grate said they didnt use them but spoke very very highly on the r+d grate.said its a much better set-up on the x models than normal rxp.
and 99%of racers here use them?
i asked about cavitation and he claims no one has seen any with fitting the grate.but a solid 3mph increase has been seen.

whos got one and your views please?for sea use and mild cc racing for fun but dont want cavitation!!

In my experience there is slight cavitation and loss of acceleration.

Same here.....But the safest grate for the buck so far....

Worx grate is great...But it does hit a wall at some point...I found this out at the Hydrodrags...Will be rethinking some ideas that I have on this grate as well as the R&D both great grates but designed for different things....

phoenixcustoms, what kind of wall are you refering too. Top end speed or something else.
I have one but have not tried it on my T-X.
To me it looks like maybe the outer wings could be cut off and reduce drag but i have no idea, just thinking out loud.

Well what I mean by hitting a wall is...I got 78 on my last run and that by far is faster than I have gone with my R&D but when it comes to accleration and drag the worx grate sits farther into the water off the boat than the R&D and causes some drag so at some point you may be going faster with the worx grate and more stable due to its design but at some point the boat just does not want go any faster its like hitting a wall.....You can really feal it to.....Like the boat is being held back by an invisable force....I have tested my setup back to back to back. over and over and with the info I got from the Hydrodrags I really think that a few minor mods to this grate might work...I will have to get back with you on it as all my theories are just that...Theory.....So I really cant say....until I do more testing....But I do know one thing as far as Going past 78 I really think I will want the R&D on there
