    Check your Air Intakes

For those that installed the 4 inch air using rubber kanaflex, check your hose's for rub holes. I just removed my Sc and noticed that after 1 1/2 years use I had a rub thru where it lays over the driveshaft area. no biggie as I had put some extra footage in there and just compacted it so I just cut it off and hopefully it will reach when I go to hook it back on the SC.

iv'e noticed the same, and also the wire strenghening is mild steel which corrodes and falls to bits, you dont whant a lump of that going thru the supercharger and into the compression chamber.

THis is exactly why I have refused to go the Kanoflex route. I prefer a solid air intake. I also refuse to have any rubber hoses on my exhaust except for couplers.

Not bashing Kanoflex setups but i think there is a benifit to running solid air intakes.

What good is a filter on the end it the hose leaks or starts to break up and parts get sucked into SC. To me your safer with a solid air intake with no filter then running Kanoflex.

Good points, but solid (plastic) air tubes are prone to their own failures too. To each their own.

We all need carbon fiber air intakes.

Why can't Riva mass produce a 4" air intake to the likes of their 3" powerfilters?

I'll be testing one of my own against a Riva 3" in a few weeks. If it works I will be looking into making them.

Kanaflex is no different than any other hose or tubing in the ski.... if it is not secured properly and is rubbing against everything especially the drive shaft... it's not going to hold up. But for $4 a foot compaired to the other options it's a no brainer

Mitch... Keep me posted on this.... If all goes well with it, I'd be interested.

Are you going the 4" route? Front or Rear?

I'm going 4" front about the same location as Riva.If it works then it will be a complete kit and should be about the same cost as Riva's 3".
