    05 with cracked pump shoe

I have an 05 1300r. When I install the PPK about 4 month ago I saw what looked like a crack in the shoe but wasn't sure and sence it was small I went ahead and installed it. I have done lots of mods to my ski but seemed to be stuck round 70. I saw that the pump shoe was down alittle on one side. So I pulled the engine and turned it over to remove the shoe and fix the sag. Now there is lots of spider crack on the tunnel side right above the bolt holes for the intake grate. A small peice is loose and about to come out. Cleaned up the cracked shoe and grate and reinstalled. Now not only is the shoe sitting high on one side but with the intake grate bolted to the shoe, the end of the intake that bolts to the hull is sitting almost 3/8 up from the hull. the problem is in the hull, so you guys with the slow 05's might check to see if you have the same problem.

my 03 shoe pulled out of the hull !! and i almost sank out in the middle of the lake..glad i had bilge pump... I took everything apart and fiberglassed ,filled and sanded till shoe fit flush, dirty job...a got the r&d aluminum bungs that are on a bar so it cannot twist and put them in hull on top of laminated hard wood with resin and cloth...real strong now, i then sealed up pump shoe with the plug kit and lots of 5200 sealer, if you removed my bolts the shoe will still not come off unless it is pryed.looks like yamaha never fixed their/ our problem, i hear there was a recall on this for 03 but the turds never contacted me...

the 05 does have better brackets. My problem is the hull is not flat where the shoe bolts up.

So the 2 mating surfaces are not flat... You need to determine if its the casting on the shoe or the hull.

motor is out of ski. Sitting on his stool. Looks like shit, that entire ski looks like shit. He needs to just sink the damn thing,
Nah, he's doing a good job with it. Flipping it over was actually pretty easy. We did have one big scare, but luckily everything was fine. I am hoping that he found his reason for not being able to pass 70.
Waterwoody, hehe, thatt ole lady probably got back up and said is that all you got sonny? Hehe, its a great short vid, best one I've seen out there.
