make sure that its the pink R/V antifreeze.
the water inline at the highest point on the head...make sure that you kink and zip tie the clear line that is down by the battery too. it will take about 1/2 gallon maybe a bit less.

    you get them carbs done?

    Thanks.

No, do they need to be done before Winterizing? My dad and I were planning on doing them when we have time over the winter.

no, I've never done anyting to the carbs over winter. I just add the R/V antifreeze and put it away. I just asked cause you were talking about doing it a couple days ago. Again, its not that tough of a job, for someone that is new to that. it takes about 4 hours if you take your time and a couple breaks seriously it may take a half an afternoon

Should have filled your tank up with gas, added the Stabil fuel to it, then started it up and ran it for a bit to get the stabil fuel through the fuel lines. While you were turning it over, you could have fogged the motor and carbs at the same time. Just for future reference.

you should run fuel stabilizer through it. you should also run the fuel out of the carbs so it doesnt sit in there.
use fogging oil or a capful of oil in the cylinders and then turn it over so it coats the cyl walls.

Please DO NOT use pink RV A/F!

    1. Remove the cooling line at the top/rear of the head.
    2. Add ~ one pint of 100% undiluted automotive A/F. (if water is present it will find it and mix to the perfect ratio)
    3. Reinstall the cooling line.

You are now good to temps of -20*.

If water freezes in the water box who cares. the ice has plenty of room to expand.

It is diluted already. The 787 traps water in the cylinder walls. The trapped water further dilutes the A/F and greatly reduces the freeze protection.
