    Rxpx surging top end

    Hi all

    My mate has a RXPX fitted to it is a stock class racing ECU . les cook air filter and worx intake grate. standard prop

    the ski is doing around 75.7mph but seems to be surging top end like its starving and the rev limiter is jumping all over the shop.

    just want some feed back from any of you guys that have the RXPX and same problems ... and any idea what it might be.

    do you think when its surging its getting ready too buck me off.

    any feed back would be a great help so i can sort out this problem.

    what are your revs and rev limit and what prop do you have?

    MY RPM RANGE FROM 8100 TOO 8320 UP AND DOWN WONT HOLD THE RPM SOLID AND STANDARD PROP

    any idea what do you think

    water in you intake manifold??? i had holes in my 4inch air hose. just a thought.

    I'm sure its on the limiter, never seen one go as high as 8300 tho. Pitching the prop down or getting a new Solas would be about the only thing you can do to maintain stock class specs.

    BTW, whats a stock class racing ECU??? I thought they could only be stock.

    Rev limiter is 8350 on the Rotax Racing stock class racing ECU.

    If you are seeing 8300 you are probably hitting the limiter and the ECU is kicking it back down to 8100. This is the surging feeling you are experiencing.

    Try adding a bit of pitch to your impeller.

    the x has a very soft rev limit s if the rr ecu has the same type tats why it feels like surging it really slows the ski up where as the older style limiter wirks faster and feels more like a missfire.
    adding .5mm - 1mm to the back blades will bring the revs back to where you need to be

    What pitch would you think would be right mate ...............any idea where i should start ?

    Some great points to start with i bet you find the impeller re pitch fixes the issue....
