    Tested Jim's ride plate today

I have a bone stock '06 1300. Its been running 63mph and change, sometimes peak of 64mph..been kinda disapointed with these speeds.

Today I tried Jim's riva plate with angle cut and polished. Conditions was pretty rough and with 1 shim it was bouncing a lot. Still managed 66mph.
Because of the conditions I decided to step the sponsons to settle the boat down some. This gave me 67.8 mph. I added another shim and came back with 68.2 mph. I picked up over 4mph+ with this plate and it looks like I can angle it a little more.

My next mod is going to be a dynafly 14/20 prop...maybe I can break 70mph with only a ride plate and prop?

I have a riva 2 bar 1200 grate I wanted to test but ran out of time. How much mph do you think this grate will scrub off? Is there anything I can do to it so it will not scrub too much speed?

wow, this makes 3 or 4 different people now that have tried Jims Plate and have seen awsome results.

There is no doubt where the plates need to come from now.

Congratulations to all of you out there with these plates.

It was rough for speed runs..probably 6-8" with a 1' every so often, wind was blowing pretty good too.
I'm very happy with Jim's plate...I gonna add another shim and when conditons are smoother I might get 69mph.

awsome ronn, If you add another washer up front you will pick up speed. But you might have to grind the pump and nozzle alittle to clear make sure you plate is not hitting. Good luck, jim
