    Any difference between 08 & 09 Xs?

My local dealer is having an auction tomarrow on the 2008 inventory. Im thinking about bidding on 08 rxt-x & rxp-x if I get a good deal. Are they changing anything on the 09 models that I should wait until they come out since it is winter for me right now? They also have a 07 kawi 250x, will that be worth bidding on? I have not had a ski since 05 and I have not kept up with the new stuff coming out lately. I want to get back into to it next summer because I miss riding and modding. That has been my hobby for 10 years. I had a few different skis between 1996 & 2005 (old school, LOL).

There are quite a few threads lately about the X's and modding. If you plan on going over 80mph it would be better going with a regular RXP. You can get an X to 75mph with very little mods and I believe that the 08's and 09's will be the same.

No change at all between the 08 & 09 X models.... even the same colors.

Wonder if any leftover 08's are going to get a new VIN

I jokingly asked my local dealer the same thing about rebadging '08's to '09 and he said that Bombardier had shipped all of the 2008 model ski's to dealers and that dealers absolutely will not be changing the VIN. Several other ski's are unchanged for 2009 as well.
So a 2009 is worth more than a 2008 on paper only, same ski.

Dealers have changed VIN numbers on existing stock ski's in the past by the request of BRP... I've seen it done

Don't buy a 07 250X Kawi. Many problems with this first year ski. Search 250X problems on GH.

Get the T-X...I have been very impressed, even before I started modding. You should be able to get a very good deal considering the state of the economy right now.

Are they changing anything on the 09 models that I should wait until they come out since it is winter for me right now? NO, same boat.

They also have a 07 kawi 250x, will that be worth bidding on? NO WAY. T-X will run away from it and the '07's were the first model year. Never buy a 1st model year KAWI. I learned my lesson on an '05 Bruteforce 750...

I have not had a ski since 05 and I have not kept up with the new stuff coming out lately. There is quite a bit out there for the X models now and an incredible amount of stuff available for the regular 215 models. I am running almost 73 with my current mods and I have not spent that much, partly due to one of these forum member's I have met here, which by the way is quite knowledgable.

At the point I am right now, I have to invest big cash to see significant improvement towards the 80 mph area...

Personally, I just don't think it's necessary cause the average guys out there on the lake / river water I ride aren't going even that fast. Now if one day I run up on someone that just wastes me, then I would retune accordingly.

I want to get back into to it next summer because I miss riding and modding. That has been my hobby for 10 years. I had a few different skis between 1996 & 2005 (old school, LOL).
Come on back!! these machines are addictive...

Someone on here paid 10,200 for a T-X. That's the best price I've heard.

There is no way a dealer can change a 08 to a 09. The VIN is stamped into the hull. Last 2 numbers are the year on all boats.
