    today i found.....

fooling around in the shop with my 66e motored superjet today
when i pulled out the m16 reed valves the reeds are seperating from themself.
literally the fiberglass has seperated not just chipped
like the epoxy it was made with ?
i always read rumors people had probs w m16 but mine never failed
    ski was still running good
    good thing its cold out

Two questions. Are you running a reed spacer,
and are they offshore petals or otherwise?

I believe offshores are slightly thicker and more ridged.Best just to order a full set of offshore and know your all you can be & fresh. Before spacers became more popular the CC racers would do good to get 10hrs out of the standard petals on a 66-V.If you got them second hand and they've lasted a good while they just may be offshores.Hope this helps.

life expectancy is 45 hours spaced on the M-16's. Better to go francos, or if you want to reach deeper in ya pockets, there are the top shelf brands.

the performance they give generally bleeds off after 30 hours

    generally, some are extraordinary.

    reeds

does anyone know what type of life ecpectency v force reeds have for efi 1300? have used older style v force for kaw 750s and they too chip off at the tips pretty fast. im a little hesitant about purchasing these. do they really make big improv on ski for the price and are spacers recommended?
