87mm piston/case question
when installing 87mm pistons i understand there is a lip on the case (exhaust side) that needs to be ground off for the pistons to clear
anybody reinforce the outside of the case as its very thin anyways
epoxy or have it welded

All you need to do is grind a small amount on the cases,no need to weld nothing.I have pics of the grinding, needed to be done if you want.

to late i went through the side now i need to repair !
i was bored and couldnt stand the 87mm pistons asking me when they would get their chance to make some hp
i guess they can wait a little longer

Are these GPR cases? You can remove that whole peice and
still not go through the cases?

I know someone that did the same thing.
He put a small bolt threw it and jb welded it. I don't think he has had any problems...
All a matter of how redneck you want to go,
