I cant see the engine lasting very long,I had 23' eliminator with 3 modified 2.5 offshores ,The biggest problem is they are designed to run vertical not horizontal, and the top crankshaft bearing is the weak link.Even running an aluminum charging flywheel it still would put too much strain on it.unless the crank and caseses were turned to allow a heavier larger bearing, anytime I got over 8400 rpm (modified electronics and carbed engines) I would have trouble with needle bearing .But hey maybe he found a way around it!!JMHO>Marvin Ps hi-po boat parts and engines are always available, you just gotta be in the right circles,Friend of friend type ,they are tight knit dont advertise but always have parts to swap or sell!
