    Pump Extension Drive Shaft Recall

I just received the following statement from Riva

    Jerry,

We received our metallurgy report this morning and have concluded that a portion of the driveshafts that were shipped in our Pump Extension Kits were not heat treated by our vendor. Although all 100 pieces were sent in one batch, it seems that they skipped the process on an undetermined percentage of shafts. Effective immediately, we are initiating a recall of all shafts in the field so we can determine if they are heat treated. Riva will cover all expenses for round trip shipping on the shafts and make things as easy as possible for everyone. Bubba Kersten from our customer service department will contact each customer individually to inform them of the situation and make arrangements for shaft pick up. Also, your customers can call us directly to arrange shaft pick up or discuss any questions or concerns.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACT INFO FOR SHAFT RECALL:

    1) Bubba Kersten:
    email: [email protected]
    phone: (954)-247-0705

    2) Mark Sheffield:
    email: [email protected]
    phone: 800-241-4544 ext#349

I deeply apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause for you and your customers. We will take quick action to remedy the problem.

    Sincerely,

    Dave Bamdas
    Riva Motorsports

Steven, since you have put considerable time on yours with no issue i would say yours was treated properly BUT i think Riva wants to get them all back just to make sure.

Bubba will be calling everyone tomorrow.
