Todd, your list sounds good and up to date to me.
I actually have collected all parts on your list, except I am just waiting for valves and oil orfice.

After you do all those goodies you might want to increase those rpms,
HAHA, just had to throw that in there.

if it were mine i would also get some LINCOLN LOG sanding logs and a die grinder and do a bit of CLEAN UP/FLOW WORK to the head while i was getting a HEAD JOB to both the exhaust and intake ports all the way through! i would also NOT FORGET to spray the COPPER COAT Permatex gasket sealer on my head gasket long before i was ready to put it on the head so it drys well and ADHERES better to the gasket before installation...........nice good even coat on both sides for the best results as i feel a VERY important part of any GOOD HEAD JOB.........as far as lapping the valves either get it done by a pro shop OR take your time with a drill, piece of rubber tubing, lapping compound, solvent, and most of all LOTS OF PATIENCE.....also use a flash light to review the seat cuts even in the best of lit garages......if it were mine i would also use stock head bolts......just my preference! good luck!

the stock bolts have MORE thread into the block as Erik/SpeedFreek pointed out to me to grip it......... i also found ARP studs hit the valve cover and make it leak if u dont trim either the stud or valve cover back as well then u get a leaker......i got a set of ARP studs cheap if u wanna buy them let me know!

Does everybody follow the BRP torquing sequence with the stretch bolts? I hate how they feel ... they feel like they are going to break.
