yamaha 650 and 750 in ocean

Does anyone have a concern about putting 1995 650 and 1991 750 in the ocean or the long island sound,or do you think they are too small

    what kind of skis?

In general, no they are not to small as long as you know what your doing...and a good rule of thumb is to not ride alone..

seems like any pwc is cool in the ocean! if they stay running
and you know how to ride and when to get off the water

other than that smaller hulls are more unstable in the rough as compaired to later larger skis, at speed they will go where you point them... the wr500 does great in the gulf, which can get rough, like the sound..

Note:You wont be sitting unless they are just rollers ,but will be standing letting the ski take the beating and then your legs will later be witness to all that abuse

if your skis are reliable,a well taken care of ski will be fine out there..Your 650 (vxr/wr3?)has a better bottom, design for handling rougher water..

carry a cell in case you need help (zip locked in the storage compartment works well)

vxr'S are the next major step in the design generation of the WR ...so you should be fine... ( it won't be a soft ride, but will be fun )
pad everything loose such as the extinguisher ..is it a tube style holder?, an extra foam packing the will keep it stationary .. I'd support fuel lines with extra zippy ties and double check all clamps..

(might not be a bad idea to replace those older lines before hand)..

try to think...'what would I secure better if racing?'
    hope this helps
