Thread: Macboost R-12x

A fellow rider in our group just added the Macboost Computer, Wedge, Intercooler and a solas prop (Not sure what size).
He is spining 6440 RPM @ 64.6 GPS with great improvment in acceleration.
Does he need more pitch in the prop?

That's about all she has in her... I think they recommend a solas 17/29?
The Honda Hull is the limiting factor.

I'd say the only limiting factors are the lack of creative minds or lack of interest (profit) in Honda mods.
If Honda ever decided to race their craft (when they were first produced), I'm sure there would have been a budget and performance goodies up the wazoo. Massaging or hull changes aren't difficult for a company like 3DR.
Like a lot of us we have taken the lazy proven route of others efforts.

I've got an R-12x and love it... it handles great, crusises very nice and burns a reasonable amount of gas....
I think if they would have backed it from the start for racing... Honda might be seeing different sales numbers. This all goes back to which manufacturer is going to step over the "gentleman's agreement"... For now I'm just watching!
It sounds like the F15x has a fighting chance being what it is... I just hope people can back it, and throw money at it like the doo's.

I was very impressed with the Mac boost mod. The kit really woke up the ski and acceleration from a standing start was much improved. It picked up a solid 4mph GPS over stock.

That's true i bought my 2006 from a Honda dealership lat year for under 7k
they are dubbed the Largest volume dealer for all Honda toys they do not sell many PWC's because where this dealership is but to keep there power seller status they have to purchase so many per year so they always have a ton in stock and i looked couldn't find any dealer that could beat or would beat there price.
